Qingyuan County's unique climate environment and ecological advantages have promoted the rapid development of the characteristic sweet orange and pomelo industry. At present, the county has planted 17400 mu in total, with an annual output of 13800 tons and an annual output value of 166 million yuan, becoming the largest sweet orange and pomelo production area in China. In 2021, Qingyuan sweet orange and pomelo was also listed in the first batch of national famous, special and high-quality new agricultural products. A sweet orange and pomelo can be sold for 10 yuan, the output value of a tree is 3500 yuan and the maximum output value of a mu of land is 70000 yuan. Up to now, Qingyuan County has had 7 leading agricultural enterprises, more than 30 professional cooperatives, more than 70 family farms, and more than 3000 employees, which has driven more than 40000 people to obtain employment and increase income.

Among the leading demonstration categories of coordinated development between urban and rural areas, "Lishui city promotes' large-scale relocation and rapid gathering 'to enrich people's and improve living environment" and " Jinyun County in Lishui develops ' colorful agriculture' to explore new ways of enriching farmers with geographical indications" have become one of the 12 best practices of this category respectively.
