Lishui ecological industry agglomeration zone was located in Lishui City which was entitled as the Best Ecological City in China, and it is the only agglomeration zone crowed with “ecology” among 14 industry agglomeration zone after being approved by Zhejiang government in December, 2010.The agglomeration zone is composed of “one core and three parks”, covering core zone in urban area(Lishui Economic Development Zone, Liandu Branch and Lijing Park Branch involved)and three parks, namely Lijin Hardware Technology Industry Park, Songyang Industrial Park, Longquan Industrial Park.

Established in 1993, Lishui Economic Development Zone is the core part of Lishui ecological agglomeration zone and launched its construction in Shuige industrial zone in 2002.Now it has Shuige and Fuling Street in management with a population around 110,000, 70 percent of which are residents, with a total area of 110 square kilometers, 58 of which are used for city planning, including five groups Shuige, Qibaiyang, Fuling, Sidu and Lijing park. In 2014,the agglomeration zone achieved output value of ￥50.694 billion in above-scale industry, ￥4.62 billion in infrastructure investment, ￥9.43 billion in industry project investment, ￥18.46 billion in outside funds utilization in contract, ￥10.39 billion in actual outside funds utilization. The development zone achieved ￥23.578 billion output value in above-scale industry with a year-on-year decrease by 4.2 percent, achieved￥6.22 billion fixed assets investment with an increase of 15 percent on a year-on-year basis. The development zone broke the record of ￥700 million in financial revenue and reached ￥705 million  (about ￥1 billion in full coverage), with an increase of 12.15 percent while the local financial revenue broke ￥400 million and reached ￥402 million , with an increase of 15.9 percent on year-on-year basis.

The development zone is characterized by “one national-level, two industrial bases and three provincial demonstration pilots”. Recognized as a national economics technology development zone, the zone is promoted as a new high-tech industrialization base for energy-saving and environment-protection equipment, provincial new high-tech featured industrial base for high-end equipment and robots. It is listed into the provincial pilot demonstration zone for circulated transformation, provincial pilot for deepening reform and ecological construction in key fields, provincial green and safe manufacturing informational pilot zone.

By the end of 2012, mild slope utilization centered on Lishui Economic Development Zone was listed as the first batch of national pilots by National Lands Resources Department.
