In order to further implement the spirits conveyed in the documents such as "Several Policies on Supporting the Inheritance and Development of Traditional Opera" from the General Office of the State Council and "Opinions on Supporting the Inheritance and Development of Traditional Opera" of the General Office of the Provincial Government, and further enrich the cultural life of the citizens living in  Lishui, as well as creating a happy, peaceful and tranquil atmosphere for the Spring Festival, and expanding the influence of Wu Opera culture in our city, on the evening of January 24 to 29, the "Lishui Spring Wu Opera Performance Exhibition" was held in Lishui Grand Theater and Liancheng Theater in 2019.

　　The exhibition invites two best private Wu Opera Troupes from Jinyun County to perform. A newly compiled Wu opera song and dance "Huatoutai" has played out the warm atmosphere of cultural activities during the Spring Festival. It adds dance elements to the original Wu opera music, and also incorporates the contents of Dragon and Lion Dance, which adds to the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival. Splendid performances and beautiful stage won the applause of the audience. Jinyun Zhida Wu Opera Troupe and Sihuo Wu Opera Troupe performed wonderful plays as The Imperial Stele, Rainbow Neon Pass, Yiqian County Magistrate, Yang Qilang Marriage Recruitment, Luoyang Poem and White Rabbit. There are not only traditional stories praising the patriotism and loyalty, such as the well-known generals of the Yang family, but also plays of judging cases by honest officials who are not afraid of power and dignity and ask for orders for the people. The two troupes have a well-organized cast, excellent acting skills and beautiful costumes, even compared with some professional teams in the province. Among them, "Yang Qilang Marriage Recruitment", which was performed in Lishui Grand Theatre, was also broadcast on CCTV Opera Channel. The wonderful performances have brought the audience's emotions to the extreme many times. At the end of the performances, many audiences are reluctant to leave.  

　　In recent years, cultural exchanges have become increasingly frequent and opera art has developed vigorously. Originally, Liandu, which mainly focuses on Yue opera, has also cultivated a large number of big fans of Wu opera. The audience of Wu opera has been expanding and the atmosphere of Wu opera has become increasingly strong. A large number opera fans have also performed on the stage, making great efforts for the protection and inheritance of opera art. 

　　Wu Opera has a deep mass base in Lishui. In recent years, a large number of social capital has entered the theatre troupe in our city, and a group of social talents have set up Wu Opera Troupe by means of sole proprietorship or joint venture, which has fundamentally changed the appearance of the troupe. The costumes, lighting, sound, dancing of the troupe  have basically reached or even exceeded the level of some professional troupes. 

　　Since 2018, in order to further promote the protection, inheritance and development of drama including Wuju Opera, the city has held the Fourth City Puppet Show, the Third Traditional Drama Show and the New Spring Wuju Opera Show 2019, which have injected a new vitality into more traditional drama projects.
