On October 7, the Ninth Double Ninth Festival of the Chinese Lunar calendar was held in the Huangdi Temple of Xiandu, Jinyun, in the year of Jihai (2019), a ceremony for the worship of Xuanyuan Huangdi by China Xiandu on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan compatriots, overseas Chinese, experts, scholars and business representatives from all walks of life gathered in Xiandu to cherish the memory of Emperor Xuanyuan, the ancestor of the Chinese nation's humanities, and to express the lofty dream of the Chinese for the national rejuvenation.

　　Wu Jing, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Provincial Committee, Hu Haifeng, Vice Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee and Mayor Wu Xiaodong, Director of the Taiwan Work Office of the CPC Provincial Committee, Lian Xiaomin, Chairman of the Federation of Overseas Chinese and Lin Zhengze, former Acting Chairman of the Kuomintang of China, attended the ceremony.

　　Emperor Xuanyuan is the humanistic ancestor of the Chinese nation and the common spiritual bond of Chinese at home and abroad. Jinyun Xiandu has a long history of sacrificing Emperor Xuanyuan. In 2011, the " The Sacrificial Ceremony for Xuanyuan of Jinyun " was announced as the "Third batch of national intangible cultural heritage" by the State Council. At present, the sacrificial ceremony for Emperor Huangdi Xuanyuan of Jinyun Xiandu, has become the spiritual highland for the descendants of Yellow Emperor to declare "National identity, Blood identity and Cultural identity".

　　At 9:50 a.m., all the participants stood in silence, and the ceremony began with a solemn and loud trombone. 34 drums and 15 bells, representing 34 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan and 1.5 billion descendants of the Yellow Emperor in the world. Following the melodious music of ancient times, after paying homage to Emperor Xuanyuan in turn to Gaoxiang, offering flower baskets, offering wine and reading the sacrificial articles, all the participants bowed three times to the image of Emperor Xuanyuan. Finally, the grand singing of carols and music and dance festivals pushed the activities to a climax.

　　This year, the theme of Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor's sacrifice ceremony is "Same roots, same ancestors, cross-strait joint sacrifice". During the event, besides the traditional preservation activity "The Festival of Jinyun Burnt Cake", Jinyun also launched a series of activities such as "nostalgia, homesickness, village" cross-strait agro-cultural tourism integration development forum in 2019, Li Yangbing Calligraphy Seminar on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and celebrity calligrapher "Chaozhong worship ancestors and fairies" collecting activities, "Chinese roots, Opera Concert with deep musical appeal" and excellent theatre troupe exhibition. The "Dream and Sorrow" series of rural tourism season was officially launched on the same day.
